Spinach Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Bibb lettuce or buns of your choice
  • Toppings: sliced avocado, sautéed onions, extra lettuce, etc.


Instructions

  1. Prep the mix: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped spinach, chopped onion, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form patties: Shape the mixture into burger patties of your desired size.
  3. Cook the burgers: Heat a well-oiled skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. Sauté toppings: While the burgers cook, sauté additional onion in a separate pan until caramelized, if desired.
  5. Assemble: Serve burgers in Bibb lettuce cups or on your preferred buns. Top with avocado, sautéed onion, extra lettuce, or your favorite condiments.

Optional Add-ons

  • Slice of tomato or pickle
  • Cheese (if desired)
